The third sign you are avoiding your finances is a little bit more insidious and might not initially seem like a huge problem. BUT if someone else in your life manages all your money that might be a sign you are avoiding the responsibility.
In personal life that might be a life partner or your parents.
In business life that might be your life parent, your parents, a business partner or even a bookkeeper or accountant.
But what about professionals?
Now I’m not saying that a bookkeeper or an accountant, or getting someone to help you with finance is a bad thing. But they shouldn’t know your financial situation better than you do.
You shouldn’t be giving away your financial power because handing off everything to someone else is…avoiding.
How can you expect to improve your financial situation if you don’t understand it?
How can you know what works in your business if you aren’t tracking the income?
You need to know your numbers better than anyone, even if someone else is processing the data. You need to take responsibility if you want to feel like a proper business owner and grow a sustainable business.
